NCCMD Training Support Specialist

Reports To: Deputy Chief of Party for Training

Location: Baghdad
Definition of Work: This is responsible professional work in assisting the Tatweer Training Division in all NCCMD related training activities. Work includes developing and maintaining working relationships with the NCCMD and serving as Liaison between the MSI/Tatweer project and the NCCMD. Work is performed under the general direction of the Deputy Chief of Party for Training and is reviewed through conferences, observation and analysis of results obtained.

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Builds working relationship with the NCCMD and Ministry of Planning personnel to support the Tatweer Project and its mission
  • Liaises with the NCCMD in coordination of meetings and activities in relation to the Tatweer/NCCMD Training Program
  • Assists the NCCMD in managing all Tatweer training activities through identifying the participants from the GOI ministries and managing the paperwork for Tatweer training program on behalf of the NCCMD
  • Provides support to the NCCMD on behalf of Tatweer Project in their daily work relating to the Tatweer training and build capacity of the NCCMD staff at all levels if possible with the assistance of the Tatweer team
  • Assists in the coordination of payments on behalf of Tatweer Training Department to the NCCMD
  • Manages the collection of statistical data on training programs undertaken by NCCMD/ Tatweer and ensures that the Monitoring and Evaluation Department is given this in a timely manner and at the end of each training event
  • Receives information from the Training Division and other Tatweer staff on issues to be discussed at NCCMD meetings prior to the event
  • Arranges and participates in meetings, conferences and project team activities in relation to training issues; submits reports and meeting minutes
  • Performs related work as required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required for Position:

  1. Knowledge of intergovernmental workings and relationships
  2. Knowledge of modern training concepts, practices and applications
  3. Knowledge of prevalent application software such as Microsoft Office and Windows XT.
  4. Skill in public relations
  5. Ability to operate standard office data processing equipment
  6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Minimum Education and Experience Necessary: Graduation from a four year college or university with major coursework in education or governmental studies supplemented by ten years progressively responsible experience in public and governmental relations and/or training

Necessary Special Requirement(s):
-Iraqi citizenship
-Fluency in both Arabic and English
